1.1 What Is Say What You See?
Say What You See is a hidden object game in the style of Where's Waldo?/Where's Wally? and Dingbats/Whatzit? but with a cryptic twist. Once you've scoured each oil painting (or iCanvas) for objects, you'll have to unravel their meaning too. Each iCanvas is themed around a different subject, from Scary Movies to Books, TV programmes and beyond.

Say What You See was developed as a concept by artist Amie Bolissian and David Stevens, MD of Big Ideas Digital. The app was designed by Jon Hamblin, and programmed by Carleton Handley. Additional artwork was created by Dan Butler, and Rebus was created by Carl Lyons.
1.4 How Often Do New Canvases appear?
Paid Canvases appear on the first Thursday of every month. Additional Free canvases may appear at other times.
1.5 Will the App be available on BlackBerry/Android/Facebook/Typewriters?

2.1 Do I have to buy all my canvases again?
No! Don't worry, we don't want to charge you twice! As long as you're using the same iTunes account you used originally, you WON'T be charged for canvases you bought previously. Click "Buy" to re-download previously purchased canvases, and you'll get a message saying "You've already purchased this. Tap OK to download it again for free." Tap ok and the canvas will re-download without charge.
2.2 Why Do I have to re-download all my canvases?
When we re-wrote our app for the 2.0 version, one of the things we had to do was make the app more stable, and to do that, we had to develop a new way of packaging the canvases. This is why the canvases needed to be downloaded again.
2.3 Why Do I have to type in all my answers again?
As a result of the new canvas bundling system for 2.0, old answers couldn't be tracked to the new canvases, and so we had the choice of making the app much more stable, and a better experience, but losing people's answers, or continuing to support an app that didn't work for a few people. In the end we had to make the terrifically difficult decision to reset people's progress.

We know it's horrible, and believe me, we explored every option, but w think that going forward it was the best thing to do to make the app as good as it can be. On the plus side, you can now hunt for the hidden coins on the old canvases, so at least there's a bit of extra fun there if you choose to replay them.

2.4 Why Have You Changed the Keyboard?
We decided to re-do the keyboard mainly to make the game a bit more understandable - with the new keyboard people don't have to worry they're getting answers incorrect because of poor grammar or punctuation. We also wanted to integrate the hints into the keyboard, which we couldn't have done if we'd have stuck with the built in keyboard.
3.1 There's a new canvas out, but it's not appearing in my app?
Sometimes it takes a while for a new canvas to appear. They should just appear in the app. If they don't, you can force them to appear by following these steps:

a) Firstly make sure your device is connected to WiFi or 3G - new canvases WILL NOT appear if you're not connected to the internet.

b) Once you're connected, turn your device on and off. Once it's restarted, and you've got an internet connection, restart the app.

c) Once the app is loaded, tap 'Start Game' on the main menu, and swipe through the gallery until you see the new canvas.

3.2 It's saying I have to purchase my canvases again?

3.3 You told me I wouldn't be charged for canvases again, but I have been?
There are some extremely rare edge cases we can't legislate for, so if you do believe you've been charged twice, use the contact form to let us know, and we'll refund you.
3.4 I've downloaded a canvas but every time I try to load it, it crashes on the loading screen?
Occasionally a canvas will not download correctly. If it crashes when you try to load it, we recommend deleting the canvas and re-downloading it. You will not be charged again, and it should solve the problem. We're currently working on a solution to this problem.
3.5 I've typed in the correct answer, but I'm getting an Orange/Red light?
The answers have to be spelt correctly. We use the official names, so if a product is American, it may have an American spelling in the title. Use IMDB, or Wikipedia to check for the correct spelling.
